The mission of The Fort Valley fire department is to minimize loss of life, property and the environment from fires, natural disasters, life threatening situations, and to assist other emergency agencies.

Department Overview
The Fort Valley Fire Department is a combination fire department serving the City of Fort Valley, Georgia. Established August 29, 1893, the department operates out of three firehouses and provides:
- Fire suppression services
- Rescue services
- Basic life support and emergency medical care
- Inspection & Investigation services
- A wide variety of community risk reduction programs
